We take great care in only recruiting people we would want to give care to our loved ones. We thoroughly vet anyone considering joining Caring Hands. And we only recruit people who show compassion and kindness, demonstrate high standards of honesty, integrity and competence and who we think you will get along with. That is why we only employ 1 in 15 people that apply to work for us.
Training to be better
Considerable training and support is provided to all our team, whether they are new or have 20 years’ care experience. Our training programme is thorough and varied, using a mixture of online training provided by a Skills for Care endorsed training company, classroom-based and external trainers. Our training programme expands our Care Workers’ knowledge, giving them the skills and confidence to provide the outstanding care you expect.
Supporting to achieve
We have a continuous programme in place to support staff through qualifications relevant to the post they hold and for their personal development. We encourage staff to enrol on the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care within six months of joining us. Following completion of their Level 2 we will support any of our team to obtain further qualifications.
