On June 20th, some of our homecare team were excited to attend the prestigious Hampshire Care Awards 2024, held at the stunning Hilton at the Ageas Bowl Hotel. The evening was a dazzling celebration of dedication and excellence in the care industry, featuring a sit-down menu, inspiring encounters, and joyful festivities.
The Hilton at the Ageas Bowl Hotel set the perfect backdrop for the evening, with its elegant decor and welcoming ambiance. Guests were treated to a delectable three-course dinner, including exquisite desserts.
Adding to the excitement, the renowned Dr. Hilary Jones graced the event with his presence. Dr. Hilary, a respected medical broadcaster and writer, shared his insights on the importance of quality care and the vital role of care workers. Meeting and chatting with Dr. Jones was a truly inspiring experience for all attendees, especially for our Field Care Supervisor Denise.
Caring Hands was proud to have four finalists (Rachel and Beckie for Care Worker of the Year, Karen for Manager of the Year, and Karen for Innovator of the Year), each one a testament to their hard work, compassion, and commitment to providing exceptional care. The anticipation reached its peak as the awards ceremony commenced, celebrating the remarkable achievements of care across Hampshire.
The crowning moment of the Hampshire Care Awards 2024 was the announcement of the Hampshire Care Worker of the Year. We are thrilled to share that our very own Beckie was honoured with this prestigious award. This recognition is a true reflection of Beckie’s unwavering dedication, outstanding service, and the positive impact she has made in the lives of those she’s cares for.
After the awards ceremony, the celebration continued with a lively disco, where everyone danced the night away, enjoying the festive atmosphere and the camaraderie of their peers. The event also featured a fun-filled photo booth, allowing guests to capture and cherish the memorable moments of the night.
