What is end of life care and how can Caring Hands help?

End of life care supports someone in the final months or weeks of their life. At Caring Hands, we provide personalised palliative care services at home in areas of Southern Hampshire, helping individuals remain in familiar surroundings with dignity, comfort, and support from loved ones.

Can my loved one receive end of life care at home?

Yes, many people wish to spend their final days at home, and our care enables this to happen safely and respectfully. We work closely with GPs, district nurses, and other health professionals to provide coordinated support in the home.

What kind of support is included in your end of life care service?

We offer help with pain and symptom relief, personal care, emotional and spiritual support, and assistance for family members. Our compassionate team is trained in palliative care and is there to make this time as peaceful and dignified as possible.

Do you support the family as well as the person receiving care?

Absolutely. We understand this is a deeply emotional time for everyone involved. Our carers offer reassurance and guidance, and can also assist with practical tasks like housekeeping to ease the burden on family members.

Can care be started quickly if we need urgent help?

Yes, if your loved one is about to be discharged from hospital or has had a sudden change in condition, we can act quickly. Visit our Hospital to Home page to learn how we can help facilitate the move from the hospital.
